Method
Cook the Risotto
- In a pot, bring the organic beef broth to a boil. Add Arborio rice and cook until the liquid is fully absorbed, stirring occasionally.
Second bullet point
- Remove from heat, stir in butter and Parmesan cheese, then season with salt and pepper. Let the risotto cool completely.
Prepare the Beef Filling
- In a pan, heat organic olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Stir in tomato sauce, oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes until thick. Let it cool completely.
Shape the Arancini
- Take a portion of the cooled risotto, flatten it in your palm, and place a spoonful of the beef filling along with a cube of mozzarella in the center.
- Gently shape it into a ball, ensuring the filling is enclosed. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
Coat for the Perfect Crunch
- Place flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs in separate bowls.
- Coat each rice ball in flour, dip it in beaten eggs, and then roll it in breadcrumbs for an even coating.
Fry to Golden Perfection
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully place the coated rice balls into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding.
- Fry for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serve & Enjoy
- Serve warm with a side of organic marinara sauce or basil pesto.
Pro Tip
- For a healthier version, bake the arancini at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
